Description

George: "Where are those clouds going?"
Norbert: "George, dear, I think they are going to rain."
Malone: "Did you see the doctor today ?"
Delaney: "Yes."
Malone: What did he do for you?"
Delaney: "He took ten bones out of my hand."
Prof, in English Literature: "What does sentimental mean?"
W. C: "Fast!"
Prof.: "Mr. Cusack, will you please tell us what suffrage means ?"
Mr. Cusack (without any hesitation): "That's a kind of a new religion !"
Fr. T.: "Bob, what is the focus ?"
Bob: "Something you turn the eyes on!"
Fr. T. was telling the class about St. Christopher being the Patron of
automobiles, when he was suddenly stopped by a mysterious hand, asking: "Who is the patron of the Ford, Father?"
Fr. S. explaining to the First Latin class some allusions to Roman
Mythology: "L. L., can you tell us who is that little god who goes about
twelve months of the year shooting arrows at people ?"
L. L.: "Pluto!"
Malone: "Say, hasn't that girl a beautiful profile?"
Bloom: "I didn't notice, I was looking at her face!"
Fr. S. in Religion: "Paul Kelly, who or what is an anchorite?"
Paul K.: "It's a—well—it's a small anchor."
Louis Sweeney: "Of all the best words of tongue or pen,
Take it from me are, "ENCLOSED FIND TEN.'
The quantity, quality, color, and odor of the mail received by some of
the popular boys seem to indicate that St. Ambrose is a Ladies' Seminary
or a correspondence school. "How about this, Paul?"
R. Coen, telling Goodall, Skelley, and McLain of his six stiff New Year's
Resolutions: "It's resolutions such as these that show a man of thought—
It's not so bad to disobey, but it's—to be caught!"
"It doesn't seem right," said the Daydodger with the worn shoes.
"What doesn't seem right ?" asked the boarder in the same fix.
"That a mere cow can afford all that leather."
Fr. D.: "Was the doctor in to see you, Garrity?"
J. L. G.: "Not yet."
Fr. D.: "What did he say about you?"
