Dear Prof. Carver:
Thank you for your recent letter. I have just returned from New York and Washington, where I attended the Second National Conference on State Parks at the Palisade Park which is a magnificent institution, most beautiful trees and plants, Cornus florida just in bloom; also the tulip tree.
