Letter from Carver to Pammel, April 29, 1918
Description
April 29, 1918
Dr. L. H. Pammel
Iowa State College,
Ames, Iowa.
My dear Dr. Pammel:
I wish to thank you for your kindly favor of some days ago. I have been intending to answer before now, but so many things have transpired to prevent it. However, I am delighted to know that you and the family are well, and that all is going well with you.
I certainly consider it a distinct honor to have been a pupil of yours, and as I have said to you a few times and to others many times, you influenced my life possibly more than anyone else, for which I am far more grateful than my words can express.
With kindest regards to Mrs. Pammel, I am,
Yours very truly,
G. W. Carver
Director Dept. of Research
& Experiment Station.
P.S.In previous letter, you spoke of sending me a copy of your recent publication on Poisonous Plants. As yet I have not received it, and hope it has not gone astray.
I am sending you, under separate cover, my latest bulletin, which deals with the food situation as it applies to the tomato.
