Carnival rides and dancing to rhythms of the Idol
Threat were highlights of
the Oktoberfest that got
under way on campus on a
Saturday last fall under the
sponsorship of the Student
Government Association. A
Softball tournament under
guidance of Lynn Ries,
Iowa City, was a feature on
Sunday. Co-chairpersons
for the 1983 festival were
Diana Scheckel, DeWitt,
Iowa, and Lu Ann Sobaski,
Richland, Iowa.
