Organization
In the fall of 1917, at one of the meetings of the Manning Club, the
Dramatic Society was established. Its charter members were the students
of the Junior and Senior Collegiate classes and from these was chosen the
official board consisting of a president, a vice-president, and a secretary-
treasurer. The membership increased rapidly, all students particularly interested in dramatic work being cheerfully welcomed into the society. The
aim of this dramatic organization was two-fold: To promote private entertainment for the student-body, in the way of interclass debates, vaudeville
programs, and musical recitals; and to offer to the criticism of the many
