Description
Our third victory of the season was the exciting win over St. Mary's of Minnesota, 79-76. Although
trailing at the half, the Bees surged back in the final half to topple the highly touted Redmen. The shooting of Fennelly and the fine rebounding of Pete Stuckey paved our way to the final decision. This was
the final game for Kevin Fennelly who dropped out of school.
Following semester exams the team hit the road for a three game western swing where they met the top
teams of that area. The Bees were toppled by Regis of Denver, Colorado, 69-51. We were out-rebounded
and our failure to hit from the field hurt us greatly. On to Kansas City, Mo., where the Rockhurst Hawks
awaited us. The vengeful Hawks, remembering last year's defeat, lowered the boom 92-68. Leonard
and Gulan performed capably along with the fine performance of Otting and Brennan, but this was not
