enough as we were outmanned by a superior squad. The Bees climaxed their western swing by dropping
a disheartening 65-63 decision to Omaha. John Leonard sank the tying basket with less than a minute
remaining, only to see the Indians drop in the winning bucket as the buzzer sounded. Fast improving
Pete Stuckey was the high for the Bees with 17 points.
The team then wended their way to Mt. Pleasant for their game with Iowa Wesleyan. The Tiger
edged us 90-82. Th Bees were in striking range the entire second half and almost overtook them several times in the final frame. Otting was the Bee high scorer with 27 points, followed by Gulan with
15 and Leonard with 14.
The next engagement was Lewis at the LeClaire gym. Our lads kept pace with Lewis throughout, but
Tom Otting (35) and Dick Brennan (25) go high in the air for a rebound
in the Bee's 97-80 conquest of Iowa Wesleyan.
