the Bees upset Loras, 87-86.
In the friendlier confines of Wharton Field House, the Bees hosted their bitter rival, Loras. Underdogs once again, our boys having been fired up for this one by Coach Duax and a large crowd of enthusiastic fans, fought their way to an 87-86 win. Tom Otting led the Bees with 24 points even though he left
the game with 16 minutes to go. This was truly a team victory and gave the fans an insight to the real
possibilities of this year's squad.
LeClaire gym was the scene of the next fray between the Bees and Great Lakes. Our lads played
heads-up ball the first and were leading at intermission 50-45. But the sailors came back strong in the
next stanza to erase our lead and eke out a 91-87 victory. Fennelly was high scorer with 21 points.
