Big Bernie: up and in for two!
The third meeting of St. Ambrose and Lewis provided sweet revenge for the Bees as they outplayed
the Flyers in every respect for an 82-68 victory. A five game road trip proved disasterous for the Bees,
dropping five straight ball games. The return home was like a shot in the arm for Bees and they entertained the always-strong Macomb Leathernecks. Even though losing the close 58-54 decision, the Am-
brosians, sparked by the fine coaching of Coach Duax, led for nearly the entire game, only to be turned
back by a last minute Leatherneck surge. It was perhaps the finest floor game the Bees produced all
season.
Pardon me, sir,
but that ball belongs to us."
