Bill Cant, the big man of the forward wall, was hampered with an injury
most of the season and his action was limited, but when "Wilbur" was in the
lineup, his presence was felt by all opposing linemen, as well as opposing
ballcarriers.
Tom Donohue was shifted to quarterback from end and then back to end last
season, but no matter where Tom played, he was a valuable asset to the team.
Tom, one of the best passers on the squad, received his second "A" last season.
Larry Kellner was named to the All-Midland Conference defensive team last
season for the second straight time at end. A rugged individual at 168 lbs.,
Kellner earned two monograms in football.
Ray Shannon, the blond-headed tank, was one of the most effective runners on
the club in the early part of the season before an injury sidelined him. The
Amboy, 111. speedster received his second letter last year.
