The St. Ambrose College Commerce Club was organized in the Fall of 1950. According to the bylaws, the purpose of the organization is to "further the interest of commerce, economics and accounting
majors in social and educational activities."
The Club enjoys full recognition and is represented on the Inter-Club Council of the College. This
year there were approximately sixty members.
Primary activity of the club this year has been a series of talks by prominent Quint-City businessmen
who explained various phases of their respective
fields. On several occasions club members were
taken on conducted tours of local business and
industrial firms so that they might observe business in action. These talks were further supplemented with movies.
Mr. Peter Danner of the economics department
has served as faculty moderator for the year. Officers elected for the 1952-53 year were Bob Henneberry, President; Jim Crawford, Vice-President;
Lynn Marangon, Secretary; and Bob Breen, Treasurer.
