Sat. 10—Afternoon and evening entertainment by the same society. S. A. C. beat
Graceland 48-0.
Sun. 11—Dr. Walsh lectured on worthless
reading.
Tues. 13—We discovered why it was so
cold in the rooms; the fireman got up
late for breakfast.
Sun. 18—Sitting in the front windows is
strictly verboten.
Mon. 19—Usual Greek classes and no other
excitement.
Wed. 21—Notice of exams posted.
Thurs. 22—Debate on Monroe Doctrine,
victory for Manning Club.
Sun. 25—A few of the more industrious
ones were caught plugging for exams.
Mon. 26—Exams are on. The names of
those who are going home for vacation
were taken up.
Wed. 28—Exams close. Thanksgiving vacation begins.
December
Sun. 2—Those coming back from vacation
are grouchy.
Mon. 3—Very little done today.
Tues. 4—Glee Club Membership cut down
to 14.
Thurs. 6—Winter is upon us; 5 degrees
below zero.
Fri. 7—St. Ambrose Day. Vacation extended a week.
Sat. 8—Study period this afternoon between 2 and 3 o'clock; very unusual for
Saturday.
Sun. 9—Extra! Extra! Frank Coonan froze
his nose in bed last night.
Mon. 10—A few cases of mumps developed
during the night.
Tues. 11—About 21 late for chapel this
morning and they are all members of the
Great Unwashed.
Fri. 14—Heated debate between Rohret
and Hellweg. Hellweg holds that
"buxom" is not a synonym for "corn
fed."
Mon. 17—Everybody getting money from
home today. Lots of excitement; the
old cat died.
Wed. 19—Varsity trims W. & V. 24-4.
Thurs. 20—Everyone smiling and asking
the same old question: "What time does
your train go ?
