FRENCH CLUB
OFFICERS
President. . . . Jim Reidy
Vice-President. . . .John Allbright
Secretary-Treasurer . . . Brother Mayer
Moderator . . . Miss Alice Haroldson
Students interested in French and related
subjects, outside of regular class work, meet at
intervals to compose Le Cercle Francois, the
St. Ambrose French Club. Eligibility for the
club requires that one be registered in a
French class. Miss Alice Haraldson, language
instructor, is acting advisor of the club.
The club convenes to hear lectures on
French culture and life, to make plans for spon
soring activities, or just to talk en francais.
As it has done in the past the club sponsored a French movie, possibly the most popular of all the club's activities. Other projects
were a picnic, given at a local outing center,
and a dance. It was hoped that the club by
arranging various social functions for its members and non-members might generate greater
interest and attract a larger active membership.
Reidy, McAllister, Stromberg, Chiang, Trefs, Wesenback, Sierens, Les, Armstrong, Dye,
O'Connell, Rziepela, Gorman, Blough.
