Here at St. Ambrose these church students
(or "churchies" as they are popularly called)
pursue a course of studies that comprises subjects ranging from English and biology to epis-
temology and ontology. Preparation for the
ministry is a serious and difficult undertaking,
and for counsel and advice the seminarians
always have recourse to their spiritual director,
The Rev. C. F. Griffith, and likewise to their
rector and friend, The Very Reverend Edward
M. O'Connor. Graduating from St. Ambrose
with a degree in philosophy, they will proceed
to a major seminary for four more years of intensive study before their ordination.
