Description
Golf
The golf team hoped to drop its three-year role as a bridesmaid and become the top links group among Iowa's small colleges in the annual state tournament. Coach Bob Duax's divot-
diggers numbered five vets and several potential par busters
as they readied to assault the area's fairways.
Quad-City Amateur champion Dave Gross led the experienced contingent and was backed by seniors Chuck Bubany
and Don Braida along with juniors Doug Willard and Gary
Elias. Hosts for the N.A.I.A. tournament in early June, the Bee
linksters expect to be contenders for the national title.
Quad-City Cham Dave Gross.
Front row: (left to right): Gary Bartlett, Gary Elias, John Klinger. Back row: Doug Willard, Dave Gross, Chuck Bubany
and Don Braida.
