036. Hoosier Kitchen Cabinet
Title
036. Hoosier Kitchen Cabinet
Description
Hoosier cabinets were first built in the early 1900's and were quite popular into the 1920's. Houses of this period were not equipped with built in cabinetry and the lack of storage space in the kitchen became acute. These cabinets had a table top which provided working space as well as drawers and cupboards that held flour and sugar and served other storage needs.
