Description
The fire at the Iowa Agricultural College Experiment Barn in 1902. The building was of frame construction with a gable roof. Flames are engulfing the roof and traveling down the sides of the building as a crowd of onlookers watches.
The Iowa Agricultural College Experiment Barn, built in 1894 by Architects Nourse and Hallett and contractor Bisbee and Potter. The barn burned in 1902 along with an adjacent cattle barn. The Experiment Station Barn replaced an earlier building.
