Letter from Pammel to Carver, May 22, 1924
Description
May 22, 1924
Professor. Geo. W. Carver,
Tuskegee Institute,
Tuskegee, Alabama.
Dear Prof. Carver:
I cannot express to you in words my deep appreciation of your very kind letter of February 22 on the completion of my thirty-fifth year of service at Iowa State College, but I thank you most sincerely.
I am glad of the fact that it was my privilege to guide you in your work at Ames and that you received the B. S. and M. S. degerrs from Iowa State College. You are a great credit not only to the colored race but to the college. At a Cosmopolitan dinner recently I made the remark that I was proud of the fact that I was of some assistance to you. You have been an infatigable laborer for science, especially, its economic relations. Splendid has been your work and the and the plaudits that have come to you are richly deserved. I am glad that it has been my privilege to visit your shop last winter with Dr. Sparks.
Regards from Mrs. Pammel, Lois and Doris and again thanking you, I am,
Yours truly,
P/T.
