My dear Dr. Pammel:
I wish to thank you for your beautiful letter of recent date which I have enjoyed so very much. The copy of the Prominent Men I have Met, reached me last night and I have read it with a great deal of interest. What a beautiful piece of work. It is so full of human interest and so inspiring. I am not surprised, however, as this is just what I expect coming from your pen. I cannot tell you how much I appreciate this little volumn.
I have just written Prof. E. F. Guba, Massachusetts Agricultural College, Waltham, Massachusetts. I told him how very interesting and informing the little volumn is. This is the Professor whom I asked about who was at Cornell University, Ithaca, New York, in the Plant Pathology Department.
I certainly wish you and Mrs. Pammel a most wonderful holiday season. I regret to state that I shall not be able to spend Christman here as I must be in Windsor, North Carolina at a big peanut exposition. My peanut products will be there.
With sincerely good wishes, I am
Very truly yours
G. W. Carver.
