YOUNG REPUBLICANS
left to right: Paul Hallisy, Les
Elias, Pat McDonald, William T.
Rose, .William D. Gissel, Peter
J. Witry, Spike J. O'Hara,
Michael S. Smith, Nicholas M.
Segura, Vince Motto, Tom Neu-
master.
Because this was an election year, the Young Republicans have been more active than usual in the political
arena. The members of the organization served as state college publicity coordinators for the Fred Schwengel campaign
and worked hard in the campaign for Senator Jack Miller,
and both of these men were successful in their quests. In
addition, the club sent representatives to the state Republican convention in Des Moines in March, and continued its
active participation in Homecoming and social activities.
VETS CLUB
A St. Ambrose student is qualified to join the Vet's club if he has served
at least six months of active military duty. The main function of the organization is to assist its members in their social and academic pursuits
and to support worthy civic and campus projects. The club is immediately associated with its Turner dances, the proceeds of which go toward
charity and operational expenses.
