Description
On the St. Ambrose campus, the National Association for the Advancement of Colored
People is one of the few associations which is nationally affiliated. As a result, many of
the campus members of this organization are also involved in area, state, and national
activities. The purpose of the local chapter is in keeping with that of the national organization, which is to work for racial equality as guaranteed by the U. S. Constitution. To
this end, the campus group has, through its social activities, gathered funds for and promoted interest in the cause of integration.
