MINNESOTA STATE 0
St. Ambrose closed out its football season with a six touchdown barrage which buried
Minnesota State, winners of the Minnesota State Teacher's College Conference for six
straight years. Led by Joe DeSoto and Clint Westemeyer who scored two touchdowns
apiece, the Bees climaxed a very successful season. The Bees' offensive unit produced its
peak performance of the year with a 509 yard offensive total. A strong Bee forward wall
showed its defensive power by containing the strong Minnesota attack throughout the
game. It is hard to cite individual stars in this season-closing game, unless it be the coaching staff, which guided the Bees through another successful grid season.
