The Duax charges got back on the winning trial squeezing past the Duhawks of Loras, 56-54, 18 of the total coming from Fay. Penn
was pulverized, 74-39, at home behind 20 counters by Fay and I I last-quarter points from Willie Malatestinic. Jim Wolf hit for 25
and Czarnecki 19 as Iowa Wesleyn fell victim to the high-geared Ambrose offense, 87-68.
St. Joseph nudged the Bees 64-63 at home on another last-second shot. Garvey played a terrific game, meshing 13 points, and
Wolf slipped 18 through the hoop.
Seekamp notched 21 in the 67-59 victory over Central and then tallied 24 in the ambush of the Redmen of Simpson, 84-53. Dubuque
proved to be no pushover on their home floor and were finally edged out, 71-68. Seekamp scored 23 and Wolf 18 in the thriller.
Parsons' Wildcats clawed the Duaxmen, 72-58, in the showdown for the Iowa Conference Crown. Wesleyan again as the victim of
the Ambrose offense, led by Seekamp's 32, and fell, 89-74. Fay added 23 and Wolf pitched in 19 to aid in the slaughter. Penn gave
the Ambrosians a scare, 62-49, but the Saints would have no part of an upset.
