LEN CZARNECKI
Senior Guard
Under the capable direction of eager Bob Duax, the 1951-
52 basketball contingent built up a winning habit and, despite
the fact that only three men, Capt. Len Czarnecki, To'm
Seekamp, and Leo Pavletic, returned from last season's squad,
managed to cop 17 wins while dropping only 8 decisions.
Opening up on the road, the busy Bees stung St. Thomas,
74-66, and then came home to clip Quincy 70-59. Next,
Lewis' Flyers were grounded, 76-47, and then the Ambrose
arch-rivals, Loras, were subdued 75-68, Jim Fay splitting the
nets for 24 markers.
A two game road trip saw the Saints cage St. Joe's Pumas,
81-73, behind Capt. Czarnecki's 19 and four clutch baskets
by Dan Garvey and then down the Flyers, again, 64-59.
Seekamp and Fay bombarded the nets for 44 points.
