FOREWORD
High up in the lighthouse, overlooking
the ocean of time, I take my stand and gaze
out o'er the deep.
Ships, manned by men, noble and true—
Alumni—pass in review. Ships, large and
small, fast and slow, one-sailed and full-
sailed, come and go; some weather-beaten,
tried and sturdy—masters of the sail; others new, buoyant in their prowess, confident
of victory.
Onward they sail! Onward to the port
of eternity! Though heavy the days and
long the nights, though treacherous the seas
and wild the gales, no siren's song lures
them from their true course.
Upright and majestic, with the Cross as
a charter and Faith as a compass, they sail
on to the Morn of Everlasting Hope.
