Cross Country Enters Stiffer Competition
This is the second year of competition for our cross-country team. It
had a very successful beginning with
a 5-0 record. But last fall, competing
in a stronger conference, they did
not fare as well — winning two and
losing four. While having only a
mediocre score last season, the team
is still in the building stage. The
participants work long hours and
give their all in every race. The
highlight of last season was the victory over Loras for the second year
in a row. The team participated in
two invitational meets and did very
well making the outlook for the
future indeed hopeful. Special credit
should be given to sophomore Tim
Carini who was one of the mainstays
of the team throughout the season.
