KSAR, 570 on the AM dial, went
"on the air," Sunday night, February
16, for a trial transmission, and regular programing started on Wednesday, February 18. The transmitters
are located in the basements of East
and Davis Halls, with the studio and
control room in the Ambrose Hall
Speech Department.
The Constitution of the campus
radio station states their purpose as:
to provide the student body the
means for obtaining intelligent, timely and useful information and national, international, and campus
news; to promote an appreciation for
worthwhile music and entertainment
in keeping with high Christian
ideals; to promote a unifying spirit
for all Ambrosian activities in order
to strengthen school spirit; and to
provide the student body with the
means for obtaining practical experience in the communication arts.
