After many months of hard
work the 1953 Oaks is now a
reality. The staff hopes that in
the years to come this edition will
afford you with many memories
of the school year just ended. We
tried to give you a complete resume of the numerous school activities that took place during the year.
The task of producing a yearbook is not an easy one and it was
accomplished only through the
cooperation of the staff, administration, faculty, and students.
There are many processes before
an annual can go to press. After
the pictures have been developed they must be reduced to
the size indicated on the layout sheets and then the pictures
along with the copy are sent to the printers. The material
is then proof read twice more before the final pages are
printed.
This year there were two advisors for the annual. Mr. Bowie of the commerce department served as moderator
for the business staff. Mr. Christin of the English department checked the literary part of the book. These two
professors did a fine job and I feel certain that the quality
of the book was greatly improved with their expert advice.
