The Central Illinois Club came into existence on the Saint Ambrose campus in the fall of 1948. Since that time it has developed into one of the most active clubs on the campus. The club encourages pros-
pective students to enroll at Saint Ambrose and promotes many campus activities.
Any students from the central part of the State of Illinois is eligible for membership in the club. Those students not living in this area, but coming from outside the Chicago or Tri-City area, may also petition for membership.
The club is governed by an executive council composed of four officers and is represented on both the Inter-Club Council and the Student Council. The C.I.C. Club sponsors a winter and summer dance each year in Peoria. There are also several picnics and social events held during the school year in the Davenport area.
