APRIL
Mon. 1—The introit of
those who went home for
vacation began about
noon.
Tues. 2—Still coming in.
Wed. 3—Exams began today. Classes till 3:40,
leave of absence granted
to those who had business
down town till 4:15.
Thur. 4—Exams still on.
Fri. 5—First pictures in cap
and gown taken.
Sun. 7—New edict in regard
to tank suits promulgated
today; we are getting
back to the more primitive style.
Mon. 8—At least three
members of the faculty
are sick in bed.
Tues. 9—Opening game of
the season. Dubuque 8,
St. A. 10.
Wed. 10-Nothin' doin a-
tall.
Thur. 11—The seniors are under a dark cloud, one of their number, a certain Mr. O'Connor, came home late for breakfast this morning.
Sat. 13—Defeated 10th Infantry team 12-2.
Sun. 14—Dissention in the gym-quarters; Devlin suspects Coonan of using
Dev's toothbrush.
Mon. 15—More pictures taken for the Ambrosian.
Tues. 16—"Please do not lie around on the damp ground"—turning back
to our diary of "important events" we find that the same words were
uttered on April 16, 1916, and '17.
Wed. 17—The first Wednesday afternoon without classes since we came
back. Quigley departs for the East.
Thur. 18—It comes to our notice that some of the members of the Dramatic
Club did not go to the Burtis last night.
Fri. 19—Rohret goes to sleep but wakes up in time for part of his supper.
Sat. 20—We managed to keep cool today—there was no steam up. Wart-
burg-St. A. game called off on account of rain.
