ATHLETIC BOARD
O'Connor, Starcevich, Mullins, Deutsch
The general supervision of athletics at St.
Ambrose College rests in the hands of the
Faculty Board of Control, headed by the Rev.
John O. McAuliffe, director of athletics.
The board members are well acquainted
with the current trends of intercollegiate athletics and the success of their efforts is seen by
the large number of students participating in
the St. Ambrose sports program.
The powers and duties of the board are
many. It is empowered to decide on the amateur standing of team candidates and to refer
to the department of discipline any student who
has violated its rules and regulations. It verifies the elections of team captains and reviews
candidates for student manager positions. The
board members receive their appointments
through the president of the college.
