Description

MICHAEL W. BYRNES
WILMETTE, ILL ECONOMICS
Many workings of student government
involve practical problems of finance
and execution. In his tenures as Senior
Class President, Sophomore Class
President, member of the Election Committee and chief assistant to Dan Doran
at Homecoming, Mike Byrnes put his
skills in economics to good use. Few
people remember the practical details in
executing an operation until it is too late,
such as, who's going to hold a megaphone and direct traffic for a monumentally large Homecoming parade on
a very cold Saturday. Mike remembered
many things like these, and for that, we
remember him.
MICHAEL G. BRECKEL
LAKE ZURICH, ILL. PSYCHOLOGY
The changing role of today's college student is one of social,
cultural, and intellectual involvement in community and campus
activities. One of our leaders in this new endeavor has been
Mike Breckel. He has brought the activities of the Big Brother
Club into major prominence on campus, while taking on the responsibilities of the presidency of Interclub. Along with these
activities, Mike enjoys a top grade average in Psychology and has
participated in Intramural sports.
ALLAN W. CASS
MOLINE, ILL. BIOLOGY
One of the better in the area of Biology has been Al Cass. He
has constantly strived to widen his horizons and has been an
active member of the Tri-Beta Honor Society. Due to his excellence
in the field of Biology, he has been employed as a Lab assistant.
Aside from being a dedicated student, Al has always had a good
word for those with whom he has been in contact. We, in turn,
have nothing but good words and thoughts for Senior Al Cass.
JAMES G. CONWAY, JR.
REYNOLDS, ILL. PHILOSOPHY
One of St. Ambrose claims to fame is Jim Conway. Listed in
Who's Who in American Colleges, he has maintained a high grade
point and a scholarship for four years. He has been a highly regarded spokesman in areas of religion and religious functions, and
he was the College's Senior delegate to NFCCS. In a time of much
religious uncertainty, men of his calibre are welcomed as a
necessity to communication.
