"Go west, young man!" is once more being heard as students from the East coast quench their thirst for knowledge on the
Western banks of the Mississippi. This year more students from the East coast attended St. Ambrose than in any previous
year. Since all wished to promote school functions and interest in future alumni activities, they decided to form the club to
attain these goals. The club was formed in September, 1961, and now ranks among the larger and most active clubs on campus.
They lost no time in promoting school spirit. Their presence was shown at Homecoming with the successful completion of a float. During the rest of the year they sponsored record dances and the First Annual Valentine Ball.
In addition to social activities, the E.C.C. donated a food basket to a needy area family.
