As we look back-
there were times we cursed
the administration, complained
about the food, even
though there were many trials and
tribulations, we must conclude
that our times at St.
Ambrose were very good indeed.

In time balloons
deflate, shrivel and finally
perish;
while fond memories of the
people and good times we
had at St. Ambrose will last
and last, growing more
brilliant and precious as time
goes on . . .
The Oaks
Serene, steadfast,
Anchored in time,
They have been built up-
These leaf-screened hostels-
For creatures of air and earth.
At a century turning
And now, as if forever,
They stand.
Gnarled, twisted, scarred
By wind, sun, rain
