The Alumni Association, a vital cog in the success of any
school, was particularly active during the year of 1939-1940.
Its many and varied activities were under the direction of
Thomas D. Murphy, president of the group.
The first project of the group was the sale of athletic pass
books, and the success with which the drive met is indicated
by the fact that all previous records were broken. Almost
immediately the unit plunged into its preparation for the annual Homecoming celebration.
Perhaps the best piece of work turned in by the group was
its part in the drive to raise funds for the erection of the
new college buildings.
