12—Fr. O'Sullivan tells his Gaelic class: "You fellows don't know the answer
when I tell you."
14—"Liz" Welsh (for the 199th time this year) said: "Say fellows, let me have a
little mustard, I'll give it right back."
15—Devereaux, at dinner table: "Say Garrity—Garrity, got any potatoes there?"
Al. Cone: "Say what does that fellow think we live on?"
19—Good-bye—so-long—farewell forever more—(until we meet-t-t-t again).

4—Everyone looks well-fed and contented on his return from Christmas vacation. All report a delightful time. P. H. Pete actually grew an inch.
5—New dormitory opened west of the chapel.
6—McConville causes a slight commotion. He was telling some friends that he
was just getting over the grippe, when he stumbles over a suit-case.
7—"John Hayrake" given the "third degree," also has method of acquiring permissions explained to him.
8-Tables rearranged and several "combinations" in the refectory and chapel
broken up.
11-Fr. Barry and Borbeck have their regular discussion in Christian Doctrine.
Henry is branded as an arch-heretic.
12-Wilhelm is taken for a ghost last night. The person seeing him said he could
scare the entire Allies army in an outfit like that.
14—Garrity in trying to slip Mike Hughes a pie accidently slips it in his pocket.
16—Good skating on campus reported by "Red" Light and his gang.
17—Permission given to flood campus, it will be a big inducement towards getting the fellows out of doors during free time.
18-Bishop Muldoon of Rockford, Bishop Davis of Davenport, and Monsignor Flavin of Des Moines pay us a visit in the morning and address the students in
the Liberal Arts Auditorium. Through the intercession of the Right Reverend clergy we were given general permission until 5 o'clock.
19-Several bruised on the ice today, Mell Morrin slides down, some sight. The
usual water-falls in the movies.
21-Welsh and his gang shovel snow from the skating pond. Academics defeat
Putnams 27-24 at basket-ball.
22-Examinations commence. Neuzil takes lesson from Fr. Lawlor in mastering
the difficult art of shoveling snow.
