Description

Major Basket Ball League
THE AIM of this association is the same as that of the Baseball
League, i. e., the development of recruits for the Varsity team.
The schedule lasted about three weeks, each team playing twelve
games. The League was originally composed of four teams but
a serious injury to one of Wehr's tossers in their second game,
so badly crippled the team that it was obliged to disband. The
players were distributed by lots among the three remaining
teams. Capt. Whelen was the lucky man, for the new recruits soon boosted his
team from last to first place. Dick Lee and Kleffman contributed an evening's
fun by playing a tie for second place, the favour going to Lee's team. The winners received generous prizes from the Athletic Board.
