In presenting this the third volume of the
Ambrosian, we have tried to mirror as clearly and
completely as possible the manifold activities of
St. Ambrose College and to record scenes and experiences that are apt to be forgotten. Inexperienced
as we are in the art of book making, we do not expect
our success to be assured on the appearance of this
annual. We entreat, therefore, that you be indulgent with our shortcomings and sparing in the kind
of criticism that discourages.
We desire to express our gratitude to those who
have in any way helped to make this book possible;
to the faculty, who have so graciously given us every
assistance; to alumni and friends, for their contributions and financial support, and to the students
for their time and talent.
We shall feel that our efforts are repaid if this
volume, even in a small measure, evidences new and
refreshing proof of the growth of St. Ambrose.
