Description

The College Orchestra
THE ORCHESTRA is undoubtedly the most popular musical organization in the school. Through careful training and constant
effort it has become an accomplished body of musicians. The
hearty support which it receives from the school has always
proved an incentive to greater effort and higher attainments.
Special mention should be given the Orchestra for the splendid manner in which they acquitted themselves at the minstrel show given here
January 27 and February 1. The selections were faultlessly rendered and won
for them and their leader, Mr. Paarmann, generous applause and much praise.
We regret the loss of Mr. Lee Doyle, who is in his last year at St. Ambrose.
For three years he has very ably carried the first violin during that time, winning
many admirers.
Among the selections given were, "The Heart of Paddy Whack," "Herd Girl's
Dream," "Beethoven's Minuet in G," and "The Poet and the Peasant."
