Ode to Our Alma Mater!
I sing, 0 Alma Mater, now to you;
You are the inspiration and the theme,
Your mem'ry is the spirit of my song.
Yours all the glory, mine the pleasure be
To know that I have written well of you
Whose wisdom, zeal, and sacrifice are rare,
Bright gems of most exalted price.
I join thy children's song of praise
To laud St. Ambrose College as is just.
Deep gratitude inspires your children's hearts,
The mantle of their blessings covers you.
Their praises sparkle in their tears of joy
Which long will keep your memory fresh and green:
Each soul smiles o'er the offering it bears,
God bless you, Alma Mater, evermore.

Each human heart has some dear wish unfilled,
With rosy hope each tender heart is thrilled;
Our earnest prayer, O Mother now for you
Is that your every hope come richly true:
And as the all too wing'd years pass on
May the fond longings of your soul a part,
Toward us your children, this blessing bring,
That the God in whom we trusted when with you,
E'en now when far from your loving care
Still guides us on.
