Description
The students of The Mercy Hospital Nursing School,
affectionately and anticipatively known as "the nurses,"
are the young ladies you see lugging all those books around
the campus of this men's college.
Some attend Saint Ambrose to meet the science requirements
for their R.N. Others have a comprehensive curriculum
and graduate from Saint Ambrose with a bachelor's degree.
Despite the fact that they carry a load of school work and
hospital duties which would flatten any of their male
contemporaries, they contribute the advantage of a feminine
aspect to all college social activities and to
many cultural activities.
