Description
17—Juniors defeat the Davenport High team. Record-breaking attendance. Score, 36-11.
18—Ash Wednesday. Now for several weeks fish. Annual Retreat opens. No talking for
three days.
19—Retreat in full swing. Everybody is serious, even "Red" Lawlor.
20—Retreat Master says he heard a soprano voice after night prayers. We think it was Gene
Lawlor.
21—Say, it's hard to keep your tongue still. If you don't beljeve it, try it.
22—Retreat over. Hinky and Dingo tried to see who could talk the louder. Kinky's in the
choir, so he screeched and won the bet.
23—Another free afternoon with General Pershing. It was on George Washington.
24—Juniors beat Wilton High, 48-11. The Frat House is in mourning. Code and Fitz leave
for third floor. It was unhandy walking so far.
