Description

Right: Trainee Marty Flynn under the direct tutelage and RIGHT
ARM of Dan Chrisman of the Dean's staff.
This year's Homecoming, switched to the second
semester to accomodate our Loras brothers, had the
added excitement of the Ambrose and Loras netters.
It all started Thursday, February 25th with a talent
show in South Hall and continued into the weekend
with a Friday concert featuring John Denver and Mason Proffit. Denver and Proffit provided an interesting show, but received mixed reactions from the
audience. A dance followed the concert with music
by The Contents Are.
Saturday Afternoon's excitement was provided by
the Basketball game but Ambrosians were sorely
disappointed by a loss. Saturday night saw the return
of Your Fathers Mustache. Swimming lessons were
hastily administered by members of the Dean's staff,
since the hall was threatened by inundation by a sea
of suds. All escaped unharmed except for a Crester
who was treated for heat prostration. Contrasting
with this scene of wild hysteria was the serene elegance of the Alumni Ball. Damage there was assessed
at two clocks and a cigarette machine that was mistaken for a hatcheck girl. The final score was; Students—Danceland, Alumni—The Union.
