Description
FACULTY DIVISIONS: Religion and Philosophy
Saint Ambrose College Students
have been well trained by the Division of Philosophy and Religion to
follow the work of the Ecumenical
Council including the updating of
the liturgy. Representatives of the
Community's Churches came to
Christ the King Chapel for a course
to train them for leadership in their
own parishes. This guidance has
made the transition very meaningful and natural. Not only has instruction been given on Campus,
but priests and laymen have lectured through the Diocese.
Rev. Bernard Kamerick is the Diocesan Director of Family Life. This
position includes his being the editor of the Diocesan Cana Bulletin
which goes to lay couples and
priests in the Diocese. Mr. Joseph
McCaffrey has had articles published in the Dominicana and the
Dominican Tertiary magazines the
past year.
The Religion Department, in addition to the regular class meetings,
had added the monthly convocations. Once a month the students
were excused from one class to meet
in the chapel with all section members to hear talks pertinent to the
lives of students on the Catholic
campus. The talks were given by
guest speakers and members of the
faculty.
Mr. Joseph P. McCaffrey was
added to the staff this year.
