1965 Yearbook
Description
350 Alumni and Faculty enjoy the Homecoming dinner.
One of the finest assets of any
college is the Alumni Association.
At St. Ambrose — with alumni in
49 of the 50 states and also in more
than 20 foreign countries, the College is well represented around the
world. There are in excess of 5500
alumni assuming active roles of
leadership in their communities,
states, and countries. Ambrose
alumni have a tradition of being
active in religious, civic, and political activities.
Alumni interest and enthusiasm
increases each year. Pride in the edu
cation received at St. Ambrose grows
with every progression during the
lifetime of an alumnus and the desire to see the college grow increases.
Alumni around the world assist the
College in many ways — by bringing or directing students, financially
through the Alumni Living Endowment which is conducted annually,
by serving in various capacities
in the Alumni Association, and
generally with a continuing active
interest in the future of St. Ambrose.
In addition to the mutual respect
which exists between the institution
and the alumnus, there is also the
respect which one alumnus has for
another.
Formal and informal gathering of
alums are held around the world
every year. Many return to the campus periodically to browse around,
visit with faculty members, and to
reminisce. Every student who comes
to the campus leaves his mark here,
and the College also leaves its mark
on each student. The bond will continue to grow.
