Fashionable Dinner and Evening Dress for March 1827

Fashionable Dinner and Evening Dress for March 1827, showing widening shoulders with loose leg-of-mutton sleeves and decorative ruffling at the wrist, a decorated bodice, the waist defined by a ribbon or belt, with plaid and other patterns throughout the dress, near the hem and in the cape. The coiffures are elaborate and include flowers, and the bonnet includes ribbons with bows. Jewelry and a purse are accessories (invented by Miss Pierpont, Edward Street, Portman Square (London) and published by Dean and Munday, Threadneedle Street (London))
