The Commerce Club was officially recognized at St. Ambrose last Fall. This
organization, open to all commerce students, has increased in membership since
then, under the capable leadership of its officers and Mr. L. W. Bowie, moderator.
The club serves its members as an information bureau catering to their particular
interests. This business minded group meets to discuss the many problems of the
world. Club members become better acquainted, while learning proper business
methods, through an exchange of ideas in a friendly atmosphere.
Through a series of Career Conference lectures, given by prominent businessmen
from the area, members keep informed of the opportunities and necessary qualifications for work in the field of commerce. Along these lines tours through many of
the local industrial plants are conducted throughout the year.
