the STUDENT COUNCIL
The Student Council may look back at its accomplishments during
a very successful year. During the first part of the fall semester the
Student Council was devoted to the goal of making this years' homecoming the best ever. It was the consensus of opinion among the alumni,
students, and faculty that this year's homecoming was a tremendous
success. The remainder of the fall semester was devoted to planning
the various social activities that were yet to take place.
The spring semester found the Student Council revising its constitution, a task that is time consuming, but works toward a better and more
efficient Council. The Council made a great effort to establish a congenial relationship with the Administration in order that we might
more fully understand each others problems. The administration was
most cooperative and made every effort to help the Student Council
solve some of its problems.
The Council met on the average of about three times per month and
during the first and last months of the school year,, every week.
The Student Council was under the dynamic leadership of its President, George Fuller. The other capable officers of the Council were
Edward Frick, Vice-president; Daniel Maher, Treasurer; James Hodges,
Secretary; and Anthony Kuchan, Parliamentarian. A large portion of
the success of this year's activities was because of the cooperative spirit
of the members of the Council and the manner in which they worked
with their officers.
Last, but certainly not least, a great measure of the success of the
Council is due to asking the hand of God, in the name of His Son,
to guide us in our deliberations, at each meeting.
