Marycrest Committee: Marian Doyle, Pat O'Donnell, Ginny Costello, Joan Kennedy,
Jeanne Burns, Carol Ann Oik, Barbara Brahy and Marge Haggerty.
A different type of organization, the Film Society was planned during the late part
of the fall semester as a spring function of the Marycrest-St. Ambrose Drama Clubs
and immediately received the sponsorship of Delta Epsilon Sigma and the Fine Arts
Club. The purpose of the club was to obtain a series of classic films otherwise unavailable to students. An immediate secondary benefit was the closer social life between
the St. Ambrose and Marycrest campuses which the organization provided.
The program included "Of Mice and Men," "Never Give A Sucker An Even Break,"
"The Eternal Return," "Stagecoach," "Pygmalion" and "Rembrandt."
