GIRL'S BASKETBALL
The Queen Bee's basketball team
compiled an impressive 16-11 season
record. The women's team was very
inexperienced as their starting five consisted of four freshman and one soph-
omore.
The team finished fourth in the
AIAW Division II tournament and ac-
cording to second year coach Ken
Buckles "exceeded everyone's expec-
tations for the year."
The Queens Bee's were led by most
valuable player Rhoda Pestka and by
Michell Riordon who set a new career
total point record. Miss Riordon has
scored 1,213 pts. in just 2 years of
competition. Freshman Lynn Ries was
voted most improved player and soph-
omore Diane Zack received the
coaches award.
Coach Buckles said he is looking for-
ward to next year and thinks the
Queen Bee's will be the team to beat.
He was assisted this year by Gary Dan-
iels and Mark Doerrfeld.
